Ilia Khodro has addressed its absence from the seventh Tehran Auto Show, stating the decision was purely economic. The company noted it had previously held events to introduce its products and lacked new models to present at this specific exhibition.

The manufacturer also cited significant logistical and regional challenges affecting its operations. Ilia Khodro reported that CKD parts and sample vehicles have been stalled in the Indian Ocean for over three weeks, awaiting passage through the Strait of Hormuz due to regional tensions and international maritime complexities.
