Ilia Kovtun leads Croatian gymnastics team at World Championships
The Croatian gymnastics delegation has arrived in Rotterdam for the World Gymnastics Championships, held from October 17 to 25. The team is led by Ilia Kovtun, a naturalized Croatian athlete and former European champion in the all-around and parallel bars.
Kovtun will compete in the men's qualifications on October 17 and 18, with the all-around final scheduled for October 22. The women's delegation includes Mila Prpić, Christina Zwicker, Tijana Korent, Sofia Mešter, and Tina Zelčić, who will hold their qualifications on October 19 and 20.
Due to injuries, male gymnasts Tin Srbić and Aurel Benović are unable to participate in this year's championships. Consequently, Kovtun will be the sole male representative for Croatia in the competition.
