Ilia Topuria seen recovering after UFC defeat and facial fractures

UFC feather‑lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, who suffered a double orbital fracture and a nasal fracture in his TKO loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250 on 14 June, has been photographed for the first time since the bout. Singer Omar Montes posted an image of the Spanish‑Georgian fighter in Madrid, sitting in a Burger King with sunglasses, appearing markedly better while surrounded by friends and his son.

The UFC has imposed a 180‑day medical suspension, and Topuria is expected to spend several months in rehabilitation before resuming full training, with a possible return to competition around the third month of recovery. No immediate fight has been scheduled.

Topuria announced his intention to seek a rematch with Gaethje once cleared, but a comeback in 2026 is deemed unlikely at this stage.
