Iliad reports revenue growth driven by Italy and fiber expansion

Iliad Group reported its first-half 2026 financial results, showing a 3% increase in revenue to €5.24 billion and a 2.2% rise in consolidated EBITDAaL to €2.09 billion. While overall subscriber numbers for mobile and broadband remained relatively flat, Italy emerged as a significant growth driver for the group, with EBITDAaL increasing by 20.2% on revenues that rose 10.2%.

In France, the operator Free reached a milestone where fiber optic connections now account for 90.5% of its fixed subscriber base, totaling 6.9 million fiber users. Although Free added 100,000 fiber subscribers during the quarter, its total fixed subscriber count remained stable at 7.6 million, indicating that the growth is primarily driven by migrating existing customers from copper to fiber rather than acquiring new clients.
