Bulgarian Socialist Party endorses Iliana Yotova for president
The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has unanimously endorsed Iliana Yotova as its candidate for the upcoming presidential election. During a meeting of the party's National Council, the decision was passed without any votes against or abstentions.
BSP Chairman Krum Zarkov stated that the party is establishing a national election headquarters and strengthening its Executive Bureau to support Yotova's campaign. The party has also formed a contact group to coordinate with Yotova's team. Zarkov emphasized that Yotova has proven herself as a capable head of state and noted that the party trusts her political experience to select a balanced vice-presidential candidate.

Yotova announced that the name of her vice-presidential candidate will be revealed next week, and the names of the members of her initiative committee will be announced on September 8.
