Ilias Kostis signs long‑term deal with CD Castellón

Greek centre‑back Ilias Kostis, 23, has joined Spanish side CD Castellón on a contract that runs until 30 June 2030. The defender moves from Atlético Madrid, where he progressed through the youth ranks and made a Champions League appearance against Feyenoord in October 2023.

Kostis, a left‑footed defender known for his aerial strength and ball‑playing ability, recovered from a cruciate‑ligament injury suffered in October 2022. He has also been capped by the Greece under‑21 national team since 2023. The long‑term signing is intended to bolster Castellón’s back line as the club pursues its sporting objectives.
