Ilie Dunca joins European Commission expert network

Lieutenant Colonel Ilie Dunca, commander of the Bistrița Firefighters Detachment, has been accepted into the European Commission’s TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) expert network.

TAIEX is an instrument designed to facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices between public administrations through expert missions, seminars, and study visits. Dunca, who has nearly 15 years of experience in emergency situations and has served as commander since 2018, will contribute his operational and international project experience to European civil protection and emergency management initiatives. This inclusion is expected to foster professional collaboration, allowing for the sharing of Romanian expertise across Europe while bringing new methodologies and solutions back to the Bistrița firefighting team.
