Ilija Grahovac arrested in Mrkonjić Grad for alleged assault

Ilija Grahovac, widely known as ‘Zmaj od Šipova’, has been arrested by the Mrkonjić Grad Police Administration on suspicion of committing bodily harm against a fellow citizen. Following criminal processing, Grahovac was released to defend himself from freedom. The investigation is being conducted by the District Public Prosecutor's Office of Banja Luka, through the Mrkonjić Grad branch.

Grahovac has a history of legal issues and previous detentions. In October 2023, he was ordered to pay a fine of 2,000 KM by the Basic Court in Mrkonjić Grad after calling for the liquidation of Branislav Borenović, president of the Democratic Progress Party, on social media. In that instance, Grahovac pleaded guilty and issued an apology.

His prior criminal record includes an arrest in August 2019 for allegedly striking a neighbor with a hammer, which resulted in a month of detention. He was also detained in December of last year following a confrontation with police officers.
