Çilimli officials visit hazelnut workers for Mevlid Kandili

In the Çilimli district of Düzce, Çilimli Mayor Yılmaz Yıldız and District Governor Ahmet Ali Altındaş met with hazelnut workers arriving from southeastern Turkey to observe Mevlid Kandili.

During the visit, officials distributed traditional 'kandil simidi' and engaged in conversation with the workers, a group of approximately 150 people. Mayor Yıldız noted the visit was intended to celebrate the anniversary of the Prophet's birth with those working in the region.

District Governor Altındaş emphasized the importance of the religious occasion in fostering social unity and expressed respect for the labor provided by the seasonal workers. One worker from Şanlıurfa, Bedri Soyan, expressed gratitude to the officials for recognizing and visiting the workers during the holiday.
