Žilina State Chamber Orchestra announces November concert series

The Žilina State Chamber Orchestra has announced a series of five musical events scheduled for November 2026 at the Fatra Arts House. The program includes a traditional concert for the deceased featuring Cherubini’s Requiem and Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, performed in collaboration with the Brno Philharmonic Choir under conductor František Macek and choir master Eduard Kostelník.

Other scheduled performances include a concert in Vienna at the Musikverein, featuring a program led by Austrian conductor Heinz Prammer and double bassist Ján Krigovský. The orchestra will also present Mozart’s opera ‘Don Giovanni’ and a children’s matinee featuring the Bratislava Boys' Choir, marking the choir's return after a three-year hiatus.

Additional performances of the Cherubini and Mozart program are set to take place in Brno at the Basilica on Velehrad and the Besední dům.
