Ilir Meta calls for investigation into SHISH scandal

Ilir Meta, President of the Freedom Party, has raised serious concerns regarding a scandal involving the State Intelligence Service (SHISH). Meta stated that the exposure of data could jeopardize the lives of both local and foreign informants associated with the service.

He argued that the situation undermines the integrity of national security institutions and erodes trust among intelligence collaborators. Consequently, Meta has called for a parliamentary investigation to examine changes made to SHISH's organizational structure and personnel over the last three years. He also requested a verification of the institution's documentation and archives to ensure legal appointment procedures were followed and to determine legal and political accountability.
