Iliyana Yotova proposes national youth program during campaign
Bulgarian presidential candidate Iliyana Yotova has proposed the creation of a structured national program for youth. During a campaign meeting in Popovo, Yotova emphasized that young Bulgarians face significant uncertainty regarding future incomes and professional stability. She stated that the nation owes young people a future where they can manage their own destinies.
Yotova also addressed the conflict in Ukraine, asserting that there is no military solution and that negotiations involving both Ukraine and Russia are necessary. She highlighted the importance of family and school in providing guidance to children.
Emmanuil Jordanov, a former Interior Minister and member of Yotova’s initiative committee, defended her candidacy against recent political attacks and black PR. Jordanov noted Yotova’s political consistency throughout her career as a former Member of Parliament, MEP, and Vice President. He also addressed legal debates regarding presidential pardons, clarifying that the power to grant pardons is a constitutional prerogative.
