İlkadım Municipality prepares schools for new academic year

The İlkadım Municipality has accelerated cleaning operations in local schools to prepare for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year, which is scheduled to begin on September 14, 2026. Cleaning crews from the Cleaning Affairs Directorate are washing schoolyards and common areas using pressurized water to ensure a hygienic environment for students and teachers.

Mayor İhsan Kurnaz stated that the municipality is continuing its support for education, emphasizing that the health and safety of children are the highest priorities. The cleaning activities target primary, middle, and high schools across the district to provide a clean environment for the new term.
