Illawarra Hawks sign NBL champion Milton Doyle for 2026-27 season

The Illawarra Hawks have completed a one‑year deal for NBL champion Milton Doyle, adding him as the team's second import alongside guard Tyler Harvey for the upcoming 2026‑27 Hungry Jack's NBL season. Coach Justin Tatum praised Doyle’s scoring pedigree – 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game – and called the signing “a steal”. The roster also features Sam Froling, Wani Swaka Lo Buluk, Will Hickey, Todd Blanchfield, Mason Peatling and other local talents.

In preseason training, forward Darius Days returned to the Hawks, saying the squad is driven by “hunger” to reclaim the NBL title after a disappointing campaign. Days highlighted the collective mindset of the core group, including Tyler Harvey and the coaching staff, as they prepare for the season opener against the New Zealand Breakers on September 20 at Spark Arena.
