Illegal prescription injection sales cracked in Hyderabad and Sharjah

Hyderabad police seized 100 vials of Mephentermine Sulphate injections worth about Rs 4 lakh, arrested three suspects and uncovered an interstate supply link to Meerut. The operation was carried out by the Charminar Zone Task Force and Saifabad police, who warned of the drug's severe cardiovascular risks.

In Sharjah, the Misdemeanours Court convicted three people for selling prescription‑only Mounjaro injections via social media without a licence. Two were fined Dh 10,000 each for unlicensed pharmacy activity and a third was fined Dh 5,000 for illegal financial handling. The court ordered confiscation of the medicines and related funds.
