SDP leader Nikšić announces extraordinary congress on government participation

Nermin Nikšić, president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has announced an extraordinary congress scheduled for December 5. At this meeting, the party will determine its position regarding participation in the future government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Nikšić stated that the SDP will not act as a mere appendage to other parties and will not provide unconditional support to any political option. He emphasized that the party's mandate and electoral results must be respected during coalition negotiations. He also addressed comments from Milorad Dodik, noting that the SDP is not an alternative to any other party.

In the context of forming a new government, Nikšić noted that while the SDP will not block the process through the House of Peoples, they will maintain specific conditions to ensure they are equal partners in any potential administration.
