Illinois recreational cannabis sales rise slightly, Arkansas medical marijuana sales dip in June 2026

The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation reported that June 2026 recreational cannabis sales totaled $118.15 million, the second‑highest monthly total of the year. Out‑of‑state purchases increased to $23.84 million, representing about 20 % of total sales after the state’s new seed‑to‑sale tracking system went live.

In Arkansas, the Department of Finance and Administration said medical marijuana sales for the first six months of 2026 were $140.3 million, a 2.6 % decline from the same period in 2025. The average purchase amount was $75.14, and the state had 36 licensed dispensaries, down from 37. Tax revenue from these sales remained at $16.8 million, while active patient cards rose 7.7 % to 119,074.
