Illinois State and Iowa compete at Redbird Invitational

The Illinois State and University of Iowa cross country teams competed at the Redbird Invitational held at the Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Illinois.

Illinois State achieved a sweep, with both the men’s and women’s teams taking first place. The men’s team finished with 19 points, led by Julian Barker, who secured his first collegiate win with a time of 24:36.5. The women’s team earned 23 points, led by Nora Brady, who finished first with a time of 21:16. This marks the fourth consecutive year the women’s team has won the 6k event.

The University of Iowa men’s and women’s teams both placed second in their respective divisions. The Iowa women’s team scored 45 points, led by Miriam Sandeen, who finished fourth overall. The Iowa men’s team scored 46 points, with Kyle Montgomery leading the squad in second place with a time of 24:28.8.
