Drake University athletics secure multiple victories in Missouri Valley Conference

Drake University teams achieved significant results across several sports within the Missouri Valley Conference. In women’s soccer, Drake defeated Illinois State 1-0 with a late goal from Trelyn White in the 78th minute. This victory impacted the conference standings, as Illinois State is no longer in contention for the number two seed.

In volleyball, the Drake Bulldogs defeated Murray State in a five-set match (19-25, 25-18, 25-17, 19-25, 10-15). Despite Lily Evans recording a career-high 20 kills for the Racers, Drake maintained momentum in the final two sets to secure the win.

In men’s soccer, Southern Illinois defeated the Northern Iowa Panthers 2-0. Dana Nadda and Aylie Haycock provided the scoring for the Salukis, who now sit in first place in the MVC and are one win away from securing the top seed for the upcoming tournament.
