ILLIT announces ‘BREAK EVEN’ mini-album release and concept film

K-pop group ILLIT has released a concept film titled ‘BURNING’ and a promotion calendar ahead of their fifth mini-album, ‘BREAK EVEN’, scheduled for release on October 26, 2026. The album title refers to the economic term for the point where there is neither loss nor profit, signaling a thematic shift for the group toward self-prioritization and independence.

The lead track, ‘You’re Under Arrest’, is described as a powerful warning to a partner who gave false impressions of kindness. The ‘BURNING’ concept film features intense performances from members YUNAH, MINJU, WONHEE, and IROHA, utilizing dramatic imagery to depict emotional shifts.

According to the promotion schedule, teaser videos will debut on October 5, followed by various concept photos including ‘GLLIT’, ‘QUIET’, and ‘MAD’ versions throughout mid-October. The group will also hold an encore performance, ‘ILLIT LIVE ‘PRESS START♥︎’ ENCORE in KOREA’, at the Inspire Arena in Incheon on October 17 and 18. The official music video for the title track is set to be released on October 26.
