Illumination events held in Joetsu and Saitama

Seasonal illumination displays have been inaugurated in two Japanese locations. In Joetsu City, the Unohama Ningyo-kan facility held a lighting ceremony for its annual display, featuring 15,000 LED bulbs. The decorations include motifs such as mermaids, fish, and yachts, alongside bamboo lanterns crafted by local junior high school students and decorations designed by students from previous years.

In Saitama City, the inaugural “Chill-mination Iwatsuki 2026” was launched at the Crescent Mall in front of Iwatsuki Station East Exit. The event included a street market and musical performances. The light display is scheduled to run from November 1, 2026, through March 15, 2027, with seasonal themes including a Christmas version.
