The energy company illwerke vkw will host an open house event in Bregenz on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 to 16:00. The program offers visitors the opportunity to tour technical facilities, including the Rieden power plant and the Weidach district heating plant, as well as the photovoltaic laboratory.

Educational presentations will be held at the Energiequartier covering topics such as photovoltaics, battery storage, energy management, fiber optic infrastructure development, e-mobility, and the future of district heating in Vorarlberg.

In cooperation with VMOBIL, public transportation for attendees will be free of charge. The event also includes interactive activities like an energy bicycle, a Carrera racing track, and demonstrations by the company's fire brigade. For families, the schedule features clown shows, face painting, and a treasure hunt. Visitors arriving by car are advised of limited parking and specific access routes via the Kennelbacherstraße junction.
