illycaffè opens entries for 36th Sustainable Coffee Quality Award

The 36th Ernesto Illy Sustainable Coffee Quality Award for Espresso is currently accepting entries from coffee producers across all Brazilian regions. Organized by illycaffè, the competition focuses on rewarding sustainable practices and sensory excellence in Coffea arabica species processed via natural, descalced, or depulped methods.

Participants can enter in National and Regional categories. In the National category, 40 finalists will be selected by a panel of national and international experts. Three winners will receive cash prizes, diplomas, and an international trip to attend the 12th Ernesto Illy International Coffee Award in 2027. The Regional category offers cash prizes and diplomas to the top two producers from each winning Brazilian region. Registration remains open until September 18.
