Illycaffè to Double Production Capacity as Revenue Surges 19%

Coffee roaster Illycaffè announced a 19% increase in first‑half 2026 revenues to €373 million, with EBITDA rising 10% to €53 million despite higher green‑coffee prices. The growth was driven by strong demand in Italy, the United States and broader Europe.

The company will double its production capacity by opening a new roasting plant in Trieste, Italy, and has signed a multi‑year packaging and distribution agreement with Westrock Coffee in the United States. The partnership will support ready‑to‑drink coffee cans and help Illycaffè meet expanding market demand in North America while keeping roasting operations in Italy.

CEO Cristina Scocchia described the period as “extraordinary” and said the strategic decisions and workforce value underpin the company’s resilience in a challenging market environment.
