ILS Bhubaneswar Opens Senior Research Fellow Role
The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), an autonomous institute under India’s Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, announced a vacancy for one Senior Research Fellow in Bhubaneswar. The position supports a project to develop and immortalize primary human middle‑ear epithelial cells to study otitis media pathogenesis, funded by an Advanced Research Grant from the ANRF. The project is led by Dr. P V Ramchander.
The appointment offers a salary of Rs 42,000 per month plus HRA, with an age limit of 32 years (relaxations as per government norms). Applicants must hold an M.Sc. or equivalent in life sciences, have at least two years of research experience, and demonstrate expertise in primary cell isolation, extracellular‑matrix‑based culture, immunofluorescence, qRT‑PCR, Western blotting, and cell‑line validation.
