Ilsan CHA Hospital reaches 20,000 cumulative deliveries

Ilsan CHA Hospital, part of CHA University, has reached a milestone of 20,000 cumulative deliveries since its first delivery on January 15, 2020. This achievement comes approximately 6 years and 9 months after the hospital opened, and only 2 years and 9 months after surpassing the 10,000-delivery mark.

The hospital plays a significant role in regional maternal healthcare, accounting for 52.1% of all deliveries in Goyang City and 21.2% of all deliveries in northern Gyeonggi Province. Notably, 53.6% of its total deliveries are classified as high-risk, reflecting the hospital's specialized capacity in managing high-risk pregnancies and neonatal intensive care.

To support maternal and neonatal safety, the hospital operates a Maternal-Fetal Intensive Care Unit (MFICU) and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). It maintains a 24/7 multidisciplinary system with specialists in obstetrics and anesthesiology on-site to manage emergencies such as heavy bleeding or complex pain management. The hospital's NICU has also received a first-grade rating in neonatal intensive care adequacy assessments for three consecutive terms.
