Ilsan Paik Hospital expands nursing and care integrated ward

Ilsan Paik Hospital, part of Inje University, has expanded its nursing and care integrated service ward by 50 beds. The new 5A ward, which began operations on September 4, is a specialized surgical ward designed to provide professional nursing and intensive care for post-operative patients in a comfortable, independent environment.

The integrated service model allows professional medical staff to provide both nursing and caregiving services, eliminating the need for guardians or private caregivers to stay in the hospital room. This system is covered by health insurance, which reduces the financial burden of caregiving costs for patients while ensuring systematic management by trained professionals.

Of the 50 new beds, two are designated as single rooms. The hospital aims to enhance patient safety and the quality of medical services by focusing on meticulous pre- and post-operative monitoring and customized recovery support.
