IlSole24OreTV moves to channel 63 on Italy’s digital terrestrial network

IlSole24OreTV, the television channel of Italy’s Il Sole 24 Ore media group, marked its first anniversary by securing LCN 63 on the national digital terrestrial platform. The shift from a three‑digit to a two‑digit channel number is intended to raise the channel’s visibility and attract more advertising in an increasingly fragmented viewing environment.

The move follows a year of distribution expansion onto FAST services, smart‑TV apps and streaming platforms such as LG Channels, Plex, Rakuten and Samsung TV Plus. The channel also broadened its schedule with new original productions, adding programmes like the sports talk show “Rabona”, the automotive magazine “Quattroruote”, the Formula 1 series “Chrono GP”, “Yacht Design”, “HTSI Collection” and the new “Confini” series. CEO Federico Silvestri said the channel “valorizza la forza delle testate, delle competenze e delle diverse aree del Gruppo” to deliver a clear, in‑depth narrative across multiple media formats.
