Paris Fashion Week Shows Maison Mihara Yasuhiro, Lanvin, and Issey Miyake Men Collections

During Paris Fashion Week, several menswear houses presented new collections for the upcoming seasons. Maison Mihara Yasuhiro opened its Spring/Summer 2027 show with restrained tailoring, crisp shirts and bleached check trousers, while the designer reflected on a conflicted relationship with summer, describing the season as both a curse and a longing.

Lanvin marked the centenary of its menswear line with the Autumn/Winter 2026 "Homme du Monde" collection, presented on the runway under artistic director Peter Copping. Inspired by Jeanne Lanvin’s 1920s Venice travels, the line featured grey flannel suits, amethyst accents and cocoon coats that blend historic proportions with modern details.

Issey Miyake Men (IM MEN) unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection "In Praise of Bamboo Shadows" at the Césure venue. Drawing on East Asian bamboo motifs seen at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the collection used bamboo‑fiber fabrics, ironaki dyeing and layered silhouettes that evoked shifting shadows. Highlights included the bamboo‑shadow printed coat, Bloom Nylon outerwear with paper‑like texture, and the SORTIE VEILED sneaker created with ASICS.
