IMA inaugurates remodeled Tienda del Pueblo in Changuinola

The Instituto de Mercadeo Agropecuario (IMA) has inaugurated a remodeled Tienda del Pueblo in Changuinola, Bocas del Toro. The facility, which is the 17th permanent store in the national network, is designed to provide basic food basket items at affordable prices to support food security in the region.

Minister of the Presidency Juan Carlos Orillac and IMA Director Nilo Murillo oversaw the opening. The store is expected to serve more than 3,500 people daily and will operate from Tuesday to Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Additionally, the location will serve as a site for Naviferias in December.

During the visit to the province, Orillac also supervised various projects by the Instituto de Acueductos y Alcantarillados Nacionales (IDAAN) aimed at strengthening the potable water supply, part of a government investment of approximately B/. 200 million in the region.
