Imam Hatip Congress held in Trabzon

The 23rd Imam Hatip Congress was held in Trabzon from September 4–6, bringing together participants from 81 provinces. During the event, a celebrity football match was organized at the Karadeniz Technical University football field through a collaboration between the ÖNDER Imam Hatip Association and Öncü Spor Club.

The match featured former national football players, including Hami Mandıralı, Tanju Çolak, Mehmet Yılmaz, and Ali Kemal Denizci, alongside local officials such as Trabzon Governor Tahir Şahin. The event emphasized themes of brotherhood and friendship.

Speaking at the congress, Abdusselam Heniyye highlighted the mission of Imam Hatip schools in producing leaders and intellectuals. He addressed the importance of the Palestinian cause and the situation in Gaza, noting the ongoing humanitarian crisis and the role of educational institutions in shaping generations that address the concerns of the community.
