Imam in Adana lends robe to child wearing shorts to allow prayer

In the Feke district of Adana, Imam Hatip Emrullah Ardo gained attention for his response to a child who entered the Güneşli Mosque wearing short clothing. Rather than turning the child away, Ardo provided the child with his own robe to ensure the child could participate in prayer comfortably.

Ardo stated that his goal is to encourage children to become accustomed to mosques and prayer through various initiatives, such as “Mosque Market” and “Toy Market” projects. He noted that his intention was to “leave a sweet impression” and “create a smile on his face.” The congregation reportedly welcomed the gesture with great satisfaction as the child joined them for prayer.
