iMapp Bucharest 2026 to return to Constitution Square

The 11th edition of iMapp Bucharest is scheduled to take place on September 19–20, 2026, in Constitution Square. Organized by Bucharest City Hall through ARCUB, the event will feature the Winners League, bringing together seven international video mapping artists who have won competitions in countries including the United States, Japan, France, and Hungary.

The festival will utilize the approximately 23,000-square-meter façade of the Palace of Parliament as a canvas for digital creation. The theme for the 2026 edition is ‘PAST. FORWARD.’, which aims to explore the relationship between memory, heritage, technology, and imagination by examining the dialogue between the past and the future.

A special segment of the event will be dedicated to gymnast Nadia Comăneci, marking 50 years since her historic performance at the Montreal Olympic Games. The competition will feature two main awards: a Jury Prize decided by an international panel and a Public Prize determined by SMS voting.
