Imathia farmer launches agritourism project for international visitors
Anna Longizidou, a chemistry graduate from the University of Crete, has launched a pilot agritourism project in Episkopi, Imathia. The initiative aims to introduce international visitors to the secrets of Greek agricultural life and fruit production.
Recent groups of visitors, primarily from the United States, participated in hands-on experiences including walking through peach orchards, harvesting fresh fruit, and learning about the daily routines of Greek farmers. The program combines agricultural education with local hospitality, offering meals under the peach trees to provide an immersive cultural experience.
