I+Med reports growth barriers in Vitoria

The pharmaceutical cooperative I+Med has reported that bureaucratic delays, housing shortages, and poor railway connectivity are hindering its growth in Vitoria. CEO Manu Muñoz stated that the company has been waiting 14 months to advance the processing of its new factory, a 100-million-euro project known as ‘Bosque de la Ciencia’.

This planned facility in the Miñano technology park is expected to cover 15,000 square meters and create 500 jobs. Despite political support, the project has yet to clear urban planning requirements. Muñoz noted that administrative timelines affect a territory's ability to compete for international investment.
