Immanuel Feyi-Waboso to miss Exeter Chiefs Champions Cup match against Toulouse
Exeter Chiefs winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso will miss the upcoming Champions Cup match against Toulouse due to a hamstring injury. The 23-year-old sustained the injury during a Premiership victory over the Newcastle Red Bulls.
Despite the setback, Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter expressed optimism following a medical scan. Baxter noted that the scan did not reveal significant damage and that the player performed well during testing. The club aims to treat the symptoms to facilitate a return for the Premiership clash against Bristol Bears on October 24.
As a centrally contracted England player, Feyi-Waboso has also been assessed by national team physios. The goal is to ensure his availability for the Nations Championship, specifically the upcoming autumn international campaign starting November 8 against Australia. His absence leaves Exeter with a depleted winger roster, as they are already without Campbell Ridl, Olly Woodburn, and Paul Brown-Bampoe.
