Political leaders and community members gathered in Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram district, to observe the 69th death anniversary of freedom fighter and social justice icon Immanuel Sekaran.

Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan and various state ministers, including R. Nirmalkumar and K.G. Arunraj, offered floral tributes at the memorial. Acting on behalf of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, ministers honored Sekaran’s legacy of fighting for equality and independence.

Representatives from multiple political parties, including the DMK, Congress, AIADMK, AMMK, and BJP, participated in the commemorations. Family members, including Sekaran’s daughter Sundari Prabha Rani, also paid respects at the decorated memorial and statue.
