Immensità Environmental Awareness Award offers free registration for startups

The Immensità Environmental Awareness Award has opened free registration for its 2027 edition, specifically targeting innovative startups across Brazil. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between the startup ecosystem and environmental and social agendas by removing financial barriers to entry.

To qualify, businesses must have an active CNPJ and projects that have been in operation for at least six months. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 3, 2027, in São Paulo, with the registration period remaining open until March 31, 2027. Claudio Moyses, the creator of the award, stated that eliminating registration fees is intended to provide visibility to projects that can scale solutions for environmental and social challenges.

Data from the Brazilian Association of Startups (ABStartups) indicates that while Brazil hosts over 3,650 startups across 424 cities, a significant portion of the ecosystem has yet to adopt recognized ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria. According to the survey, 56.1% of participating startups do not yet have recognized ESG initiatives, highlighting the potential for increased focus on sustainability within the sector.
