Immersive Journey Osaka VR facility to open in Umeda in late 2026

CinemaLeap, in partnership with Kansai Television Broadcasting, has announced the opening of Immersive Journey Osaka, a large-scale virtual reality (VR) experience facility. Scheduled to open in late December 2026, the facility will be located on the 8th floor of Hilltop Plaza East in the Umeda district of Osaka.

This marks the first location for the brand in the Kansai region, following previous openings in Yokohama and Nagoya. The facility allows groups of up to four people to wear VR headsets and walk freely through expansive spaces to experience immersive stories. The initial featured content will be ‘Horizon of Khufu’, a production by French company Excurio that transports users to ancient Egypt 4,500 years ago.

CinemaLeap aims to establish XR (Extended Reality) as a new cultural staple in Japan through these large-scale, permanent installations.
