Immu Fight Night faces low attendance and organizational issues in Helsinki

The Immu Fight Night combat sports event held at the Helsinki Ice Hall faced significant challenges, characterized by low ticket sales and nearly empty spectator stands. Despite the venue's 8,200 capacity, much of the seating was unoccupied, with upper sections covered by black curtains.

The event, produced by Nelonen Media Live and hosted by Mika ‘Immu’ Ilmen, was marked by organizational issues. One main fighter, Omar Tugarev, withdrew from the card citing poor communication from the organization. Additionally, tensions have risen between Ilmen and former collaborator Panu Hörkön following their previous joint venture.

On the competitive side, Olympic wrestler Rami Hietaniemi made a successful karate combat debut. Despite recovering from back surgery and dealing with nerve issues in his leg, Hietaniemi defeated Mika Kurosen. Hietaniemi noted that competing was partly driven by financial necessity to recover losses from a previously cancelled bout.
