iMobie updates DroidKit for Android data recovery

iMobie Inc. has released an update for its Android troubleshooting toolkit, DroidKit, to version V2.3.3.7. The update focuses on improving software stability and fixing known bugs to ensure a more reliable user experience.

The release also provides guidance for Android users attempting to recover photos and videos from the LINE messaging app after their storage period has expired. Because LINE does not publicly disclose specific expiration timelines, users often encounter errors stating that media cannot be loaded. While the LINE Keep service ended on August 28, 2024, users may still be able to find data through manual checks of LINE albums, Keep Memo, file managers, or Google Photos.

For instances where manual searches fail, the DroidKit Android Data Recovery module can be used to scan deep device caches for traces of lost media. Users are advised to limit smartphone usage immediately after discovering lost files to prevent data overwriting, which can decrease recovery success rates.
