Imola Mayor Marco Panieri outlines new administrative priorities

Imola Mayor Marco Panieri has outlined the priorities for his administration following his re-election. Key upcoming initiatives include focusing on housing, sports, and the establishment of a public greenery guarantor. The administration also plans to strengthen the local police force by hiring new officers.

Regarding political leadership, Panieri stated that the selection of a successor to former PD secretary Fausto Tinti will involve direct consultation with local circles and municipal unions rather than internal party elites. Looking toward the 2027 national elections, Panieri noted that while Senator Daniele Manca has provided significant technical support regarding post-pandemic and flood recovery funds, no official candidates have been named.

Infrastructure projects scheduled for the coming phase include the construction of the new Tosa bridge and the completion of redevelopment works on Viale D’Agostino.
