Impact Theatre Saigon brings Broadway musical to Ben Thanh Metro

Impact Theatre Saigon staged a flash‑mob musical performance at Ben Thanh Metro Station in Ho Chi Minh City, drawing hundreds of commuters who stopped to watch. Artists such as Jay - Thiện Nguyễn, Timmy (Anh Tuấn), Uy Lê and Tào Nhân performed well‑known Broadway numbers including “Circle of Life,” “Think of Me,” “Under the Sea,” “This Is Me” and “We Dance.”

The event, part of the “Broadway at the Metro” initiative supported by the Soul Institute of Arts and Metro Company No. 1, is intended to bring musical theatre out of traditional venues and into public spaces. Following the flash‑mob, Impact Theatre Saigon will present the full production of the Tony‑award‑winning musical “Once on This Island” at the C30 Hòa Bình stage from 14 – 16 August 2026.
