Imperatriz hosts FECOIMP 2026 trade fair and gastronomy festival

The 24th Trade, Industry and Services Fair of Imperatriz (FECOIMP 2026) has concluded, serving as a multi-sectoral platform to drive economic development in the Maranhão region. Held at the Imperatriz Convention Center, the event brought together various businesses and institutions to foster commercial connections and strategic partnerships.

A key highlight of the fair was the 6th Gastronomy Festival, which celebrated regional culinary diversity. In the regional dishes category, the traditional Maranhense dish 'panelada' from Box 37 Canaan was named the winner.

According to the Commercial, Industrial and Services Association of Imperatriz (ACII), the event acts as a vital engine for local visibility, providing professionals and entrepreneurs with opportunities to reach new customers and strengthen the regional economy through innovation and cultural recognition.
