Imperatriz opens registrations for 2026 Summer Games

The Municipal Sports, Leisure and Youth Secretariat (SEDEL) of Imperatriz began accepting registrations on Wednesday, 29 May for the 2026 Summer Games. Athletes can sign up in person at SEDEL’s office in the Barjonas Lobão Sports Complex until 5 August. The tournament will run from 8 August to 13 September and will feature five beach‑based disciplines: beach soccer, sand volleyball, beach tennis, hand‑beach and foot‑volley.

Participants must donate two kilograms of non‑perishable food, which will be directed to municipal social programmes. The event, a staple of the city’s sports calendar, aims to promote community integration, encourage amateur sport and provide leisure opportunities for residents.
