Imperia council minority appeals to Prefect over waste commission

In Imperia, members of the municipal council minority have requested an urgent meeting with the Prefect to address critical issues regarding the management of the III Commission for waste services. The opposition, including councilors Ivan Bracco, Daniela Bozzano, Loredana Modaffari, and Lucio Sardi, claims that democratic rights were denied during a recent session.

The councilors contest the handling of a meeting held on October 1, which was intended to discuss waste collection services, vehicle conditions, and worker safety at De Vizia Transfer. They argue that while the Environment Councilor was present, essential stakeholders—including De Vizia, DEC, and trade union representatives—were not summoned despite being on the agenda. The minority maintains that the administration's requirement for councilors to submit questions in advance is not supported by municipal regulations.
