Imperia reopens Felice Cascione pool as new Federal Swimming Center

The Felice Cascione swimming pool in Imperia has officially reopened as the Centro Federale di Imperia (Imperia Federal Center). This reopening is the result of a collaboration between the Municipality of Imperia and the Italian Swimming Federation (FIN).

An open day was scheduled for October 3, 2026, to present and promote the center's activities. During the event, Mayor Claudio Scajola, FIN Regional Committee President Alessandro Martini, and FIN facilities manager Fabio Conti introduced the new technical staff.

Officials noted that the facility aims to bring national and international swimming competitions back to Imperia. The project received support from Marco Pedoja, former director of the Milan Federal Center, who will serve as a consultant, while Stefano Piccardo will oversee technical aspects.
