Imperia: Two men on trial for jewelry theft
Two men from Piedmont are facing trial following a theft at the Bruni jewelry store in Imperia. The incident occurred on via Cascione, where the suspects allegedly coordinated their actions to steal a yellow gold necklace valued at approximately 700 euros.
According to investigators, the duo divided tasks: one individual remained in a nearby parked car to act as a lookout, while the other entered the shop. The thief reportedly approached the display case while the jeweler was occupied with another customer, concealing his hands behind his back to open the cabinet and snatch the jewelry.
Following the theft, the suspects fled in a vehicle. Authorities identified the car as belonging to the Piedmont region and conducted checks along the Statale 28 highway, eventually intercepting the men. They have appeared in court to face theft charges.
