Imperia woman dies after bicycle collision with car door

A 62-year-old woman, Halina Gizeweter, has died following a traffic accident in Imperia. Gizeweter, a head nurse of Polish origin, was commuting home by bicycle when a driver reportedly opened a car door without noticing her approach. The resulting impact caused her to fall violently to the ground.

Emergency services provided urgent medical assistance, and she was transported to the local hospital. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries later that afternoon.
