Imperial Award call for nominations issued in Croatia

The Association of Croatian Civil Victims of the Homeland War of Dubrovnik-Neretva, in collaboration with founder Denis Pavel, has issued a public call for nominations for the sixth annual ‘Imperial’ award. The recognition serves as a lasting memorial to the 402 children who died as civilian victims during the Homeland War in Croatia.

Primary and secondary schools across Croatia are invited to nominate students who have demonstrated exceptional humanitarian work, solidarity, selfless commitment to the welfare of others, or significant contributions to their communities and peers. The award aims to promote values such as humanity, justice, and unity.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 20, 2026, at the Hilton Imperial Hotel in Dubrovnik, coinciding with World Children's Day. Recipients will receive a special plaque and an oil painting by Dubrovnik academic artist Petra Farac.
